I am a licensed psychologist with a private therapy practice in Princeton, NJ. I received my doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2001 at Fordham University and earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1994 from Tufts University. Throughout my career I’ve worked in many different settings (hospital, day program, outpatient clinics, college counseling) during my clinical training. I completed my American Psychological Association (APA)-accredited psychology internship at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Manhattan in 2001.
I began working at the Department of Substance Abuse in the NY State Psychiatric Institute (NYSPI) at the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in 1998. While working there I completed my dissertation research focused on vulnerability to alcohol abuse in young women. After I received my doctorate in 2001, I returned to work at NYSPI for three more years as a Research Scientist. At the Substance Treatment and Research Service (STARS) in the Department of Substance Abuse at Columbia, I delivered cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), relapse prevention and motivational interviewing to substance abusers to help them curtail their use and improve their overall functioning. As Assistant Director of Training at STARS, I provided training and supervision to the Columbia Presbyterian psychiatric residents and psychology interns about motivational interviewing, CBT and relapse prevention.
Before opening my private psychotherapy practice (Integrative Psychology Solutions, PC) in Princeton in 2010, I worked in private practice in New York City and in Teaneck, NJ from 2002 to 2010. I have been licensed to practice psychology in NJ since 2005.
I am an active member of the New Jersey Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association, and I regularly attend conferences in order to stay up-to-date in the latest developments in treatment and practice in the field of psychology.
